Stuck

I started the diet two weeks ago. The first 6 days I lost 5 lbs. and was elated. It took a full week, but I lost 3 more. I'm starting the third week tomorrow, and I'm stuck with a total of 8 lbs. I'm happy with it, but not satisfied. I'd like to lose 7 more. I guess it's time to kick the exercise up a notch.

On a positive note, the writing has been going better. The only way was up, honestly, but Jean has me inspired to get off my posterior and get some work done. I just have to keep the momentum going now.

I did go buy a new pair of jeans for the gigs, by the way. At work on Saturday I made $15.00 in tips, and then we went shopping and found my favorite jeans on sale for $14.99! They're never that price; I should have gotten two, but I was so happy about having to go down a size that I didn't even think about it. Silly me!

Time to get back upstairs and try to get a few more words in before I go to bed...

Heh. I hear you. After 13 1/2 pounds in the first month, I was looking for more of same. This month is more like 3 pounds. It's been a bit discouraging. Unlike you, I still have a good 25 to go.

Come on. You know better. You've done great, but you know it isn't safe to lose more than a pound or so a week.

Don't beat yourself up. Congratulate yourself for sticking with it. Sure, you can gradually increase your workout. Don't overdo it. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
