LOL!

This video is on Yahoo! News this morning. I have maintained for the last 17 years that there are few things in life as funny as a baby's belly laugh. It's one of those things I miss from when my kids were babies. This will be treasured by his parents. Go watch it and have a good laugh!

Judge not, lest ye be judged

Tess Gerritsen has been getting letters from the grammar police. Apparently I'm not as picky as some of the people she hears from, but if I run across a wrong homophone while I'm reading (they're instead of their, for instance), my jaw clenches. I haven't run across a book with so many homophone or spelling errors that I couldn't finish it, but I've come close.

The other day I was looking through 'The Dragon's Lady' for something--I don't remember what it was, but it had to do with consistency with 'Sword and Scabbard'. That's when I ran across the wrong 'your'. The sentence was something like, "Your doing it wrong," instead of "You're doing it wrong." No one seems to have been bothered by it, but it was humbling for me. The little teeny piece of Type A Perfectionist tells me I'll just have to be more careful. The rest of me says I can't ever be that careful!

Resistance is futile

Ryan has been with us over two years now. Tess still doesn't like him much. She yells at him a lot, and she's usually justified, but sometimes she's just in a snit. Imagine my surprise when I went upstairs this afternoon to see this:

Maybe in another two years they'll actually be buddies.
