What part of NO....

I meant to mention this yesterday, but I got wrapped up in the website, which is operational now except for the e-mail buttons.

OK, so this guy goes to buy a new camera. On his way in, he sees Joe Pesci and shakes his hand. On his way out, Pesci is walking to his car. Camera Dude asks to take his picture.

Polite--I like it.

Pesci says no. It's his preorgative; I'd have said no, too, if I was a rich and famous actor.

The guy takes his picture anyway, and then he's surprised when Pesci gives him a fat lip! Joe Pesci! There might be a reason he gets tough guy roles! If it was Sean Penn or Brad Pitt, I could maybe understand the surprise, but Joe Pesci? That's like telling Robert DiNero that his daughter is good in bed, and then being surprised when he wants to know how you know.

Oh, and by the way, Camera Dude is 24 and a student at a community college. I'll cut the guy some slack; I worked on my BAS for ten years, but I was active duty and going to a real college.

(insert my best NC accent here) Bless your heart, honey! Let's just check the chlorine level in your gene pool, OK? I think it might be a touch low.

Mostly up

Dragons-roost is up and running, albeit with a couple of bugs. You can't read the 'About Us' page for some odd reason, and I don't have e-mail buttons on there because I haven't set up e-mail yet. I'll try to get to that this afternoon.

If you're looking for a web host, have a look at Jatol. They were most helpful.

One helpful hint: Don't put your webpages into a private folder within your httpdocs folder.

Go check it out, and when you click the EJ's Ramblings button on the front page, leave me a comment and/or suggestion.

Plodding

I'm still trying diligently to the the website up. I won't go into all the gory details. Suffice it to say that this is really only important to me and it's back burner for the rest of the world.

Current status: www.dragonsroost.net will be up soon. I also bought www.dragons-roost.net. I didn't have any idea how long it would take to get the original moved over, and www.dragonsroost.com is already taken. I'll do a re-direct eventually. First I have to get the whole thing up again. I just have to wait for an answer from the help desk.

Rest assured I am working on it. Now, I'm off to make some tea and switch plodding for plotting.
