Time

Sorry to be so scarce around here lately. I can't seem to get my head on straight this year. I'm sure part of it is that Easter is so early, and our youth fund raiser was also earlier this year. There has been a lot of 'busyness' in addition to normal life. Just last Sunday I finally got it through my thick skull the Maunday Thursday is the Thursday AFTER Palm Sunday this year. Why I was thinking it's the Thursday before is beyond me. One more week, and maybe I'll be able to get it together. Maybe. In theory.

On the plus side, I'm working on the beta draft of Sword and Scabbard. My plan is to have a copy to send to Scott by tax day (that's April 15, Scott) to review, and to get it out to my beta volunteers in early May. While they're reading, I'll work on Rogue Pawn, which hopefully they will also read for me. The two are closely linked in the second half, and I'll have to be careful to keep them consistent.

I started to post the other day about how I bought a bread machine and have had fresh bread in the morning this week, but what I thought was witty turned out to be pretty darn lame! I'll leave witty for later, when I have regular sunshine and a semi-normal schedule, and just say that if you're in the market for a bread machine, look for one with a delay feature and with the option to vary the loaf size. It takes me less than 10 minutes a night to set it up to make a 1 lb. loaf, and I can delay it up to 24 hours, so I tell it I want it done about 6:00 a.m. and set the coffee maker for 6:20. My mornings are going from, "I don't wanna get up why do I have to get up how did it get to be 6:30 already" to "Ooh! Fresh bread!" The 1 lb. loaf is the perfect size for breakfast and a couple of snacks through the day.

I think that's about all the news that's fit to print. Hopefully I'll have something more exciting, or at least entertaining, in the near future!
