Ugh.
It's allergy season. I'm prepared this time and have been dutifully medicating, so I'm not snorky and miserable like I have the last couple of Septembers. I do still have sinus pressure, though, and am suffering from a serious lack of energy. All these years I thought it was the meds making me feel like this. Who knew?
Anyway, I expect I'll have a couple of weeks of this and right now I'm just grateful to be able to breathe. I've learned to just accept the fact that I'm going to be spacey and have started warning people. It's like my mind has all these things to do and grand schemes to begin, and my body is in the Lazy Boy saying, "Yeah? Sounds great. No, really, it's a good idea. I'll be right along, just give me a minute." And then I wake up on the couch with a book on my face. And a cat on my stomach.
Forget the lazy, hazy days of summer. I have the lazy days of September.
