Finally!

It looks like we've finally been acknowledged! We're getting aid from the European Union and the United Nations. Germany, Britain, Italy, France, Kuwait, Canada, Norway, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, China, Japan, India, The Phillipines, Cuba, and Venezuela are sending aid in one form or another.

According to the article, the President initially turned down offers of aid until he realized the magnitude of this disaster. That doesn't sit right with me. I'm all for doing it yourself if you can, but I'm also all for accepting help if you need it. Right now, we need it.
