Sock it to me
Am I the only person who finds socks in almost every room of the house? My drier doesn't seem to eat them, but I'm beginning to think it's because they escape from the dirty clothes in the dead of night and find their way downstairs. I'd blame the cats, but I find the socks in pairs. Strange; almost spooky.

Sounds to me as if you have someone or someones who remove(s) their socks wherever they happen to be and just leave(s) them there.
Do they belong to a particular person, or is this a family trait? :)
Most of the time it's one someone who will remain unnamed, but occasionally there are others who do it. It's like the Bissell Green Machine commercials with the "mystery spots".
